RÉSUMÉ

Since the turn of the Millennium, Mike Carson's main engagements have been as Voiceover and/or Continuity Announcer for many UK TV Stations.  More recently, Mike has been concentrating on work as an Announcer/Transmission Controller for British Forces Television and since 2008 has been the 'Voice of JML'.  

Mike Carson has frequently presented live radio programmes.  His most recent engagements included occasional returns to LBC in 2000 and from April 1995 to October 2000 he also presented the Weekend Breakfast Sequence on  MAGIC 105.4, formerly MELODY FM. 

Mike Carson has been providing voiceovers for TV programmes since 1983, initially for LWT. For many years he was one of the regular voices heard on the ITV Network. (The various ITV stations consolidated their promotions departments into one Network Promotions Unit in 1998)

Mike Carson has in the past or continues to provide voiceovers for other TV stations including G-SKY-B, GM-TV, MERIDIAN, ANGLIA, and HTV. Other clients have included; the original satellite 'SKY CHANNEL', UK GOLD, TVS, EUROSPORT, SCREENSPORT, SUPERCHANNEL, and TV-AM

Mike Carson provides many voiceovers for Corporate Videos, including In-Vision presentation. Recent clients include British Airports Authority, Electrolux, 3M and IBM. Other broadcast work includes sponsorship bumpers for Heineken and v/o contribution for the Royal Variety Performance and The National TV Awards, live at the Albert Hall for ITV.

In another field, between 1991 to 1994 Mike worked as 'talk show presenter' for many different BBC radio stations. This included a phone-in & celebrity show, networked to 12 stations. Other engagements included News Breakfast Show presentation for no less than 3 separate local stations in the South.

Radio was also a major part of Mike's work during the years 1973 to 1991. During that time he worked for London's news radio station, LBC. From 1981 to 1991 he presented their overnight phone-in programme, 'Thru the Night'. His involvement in speech radio continues today with many syndicated radio interviews for PR NEWSWIRE, (formerly Two Ten Communications). He has been doing these regularly since 1982. The year 2000 has also seen Mike returning to LBC as Guest Phone-in Presenter.

 
 

Prior to 1973, Mike 'cut his broadcasting teeth' at BBC Radio Oxford where he presented a Saturday morning 'DJ' show from 1971. It was to Radio Oxford that he returned for just over a year in 1992 to present their Breakfast Show.
